As a rallying point for colleges, young people and companies, this hub for dialogue will showcase the initiatives being taken by the major construction federations and training bodies to promote the attractiveness of careers in the building and public works sector.
This interactive, immersive, informative and friendly space will also be an opportunity to promote connections between young talent and companies that are recruiting, through workshops, talks and job dating sessions.

INTERMAT exhibitors can register free of charge and post all available vacancies, from traineeships to permanent contracts.
Candidates will be able to consult posted offers and ask recruiters to meet them for a 15-minute interview during INTERMAT, directly on their stand.

The Hackathon
From 24 to 26 April 2024, 4 teams of 5 students from various schools in the sector will be working on problems in the sector.
Coached during these three days and sponsored by the brands concerned by the issues, you will be able to attend the presentation of the projects on 26 April at 3pm at the INTERMAT Academy.

The Worldskills
The worldskills is the world competition for trades, which will take place in Lyon from September 10 to 15, 2024.
63 young French people make up the French Team, who will be aiming to win as many titles as possible and stand out from the 1500 competitors.
Among the 62 trades represented, those of industrial and equipment maintenance. Come and try your hand at these trades at the Worldskills area at the show, then cheer on the French Team candidates as they train before your very eyes!
The wordskills are preparing to take on the challenges by answering various questions on the following machines:
- Using specialist machines such as the Caterpillar 906 Thermal loader, the wordskills will be able to solve the problem of diagnosing the electrical circuit for starting, charging and equipment.
- The team's skills will be used to diagnose, check and adjust the hydraulic circuits of the Volvo ECR 25 Electric mini-excavator.
- Using the Wacker Neuson Dumper machine, the wordskills will be able to carry out a pre-delivery inspection and make an accurate diagnosis.
- Skills in metrology and engine control will be put to good use to check the cylinder head, cylinders, liner protrusion and adjust the rocker arms on the Volvo combustion engine.

Tenstar is a company specialising in the development of virtual training simulators for a variety of industries, including construction, mining, materials handling and machine driving.
